Melissa is near and dear to our hearts. Amy and I have known Melissa since our junior year in high school. Amy considers Melissa to be one of (if not THE) best friends she has. Melissa is pretty much a part of the family, and we love her. When she met Tim, we were excited: finally a man who passed the “Melissa test.” We knew that if she approved of him, we would love him. Tim has become a fast friend, as well. Tim has a brilliant mind: he is literally a rocket scientist. Their strengths and weaknesses compliment each other greatly. Their wedding theme was Son & Daughter of the King: their lives, and, therefore, their wedding, are very focused on their love for Jesus. From prayers to praise music being sung before the ceremony in a small room and during the ceremony itself, everything about this day was focused on God’s Kingdom. This was an incredibly special wedding for us in other ways, too: Amy was a bridesmaid, Adam sang during the ceremony, the four kids were flower girls and ring bearers, and we did photo and video! Melissa is a treasure to us, and we are enthralled that Tim sees that and cherishes that, too.
