Jen & Dan have an incredible redemptive story to their marriage. They’ve been together for years and have some beautiful children. After some biblical counseling, Jen & Dan decided for themselves that they needed to get married. We had the honor of being a part of telling their love story and their continued decision to follow Christ with their lives.

Tara and Andy have already been married for 5 years, so they wanted to have their ceremony and party done right. They chose Val Vista Lakes in Gilbert, AZ, to host their celebration. The best word to describe their day was simply “fun.” Tara boldly chose an AMAZING red dress and pulled it off with her attitude and style which was complimented by her father’s surprise top hat, white gloves, union jack socks and cane. Ceremony backdrop was Val Vista Lakes’ signature waterfall. Andy couldn’t have been more smitten with his bride and it showed in all of their couple’s portraits. One could even say that he was in “deep smit.” Their marriage is a fusion of Andy’s Brit and Tara’s American. They took our suggestion to make the Finney Fusion not only their signature drink but also their wedding hashtag. #finneyfusion They partied well into the night with their awesome friends and family with a great mix of music which heavily favored The Beatles.

Savannah has the awesome privilege of joining into Cami & Simon’s family. We had the distinct honor of doing Cami & Simon’s wedding photography in December of 2014. We have the continuing honor to help tell their family’s story through Cami’s maternity session and now their precious daughter Savannah’s newborn session. What a beauty! Tamara+Kyle are an incredibly fun couple. From their love of basketball and football, to their incredible sense of humor, they make a great match. When Kyle proposed, it really didn’t hit Tamara. She said “fo sho!”, but the weight of it didn’t land on her until dinner that night when she started freaking out that she was really engaged. They had already been together for 7 or 8 years, so they were sure this was the perfect next step for them. Phoenix was the place Tamara would vacation with her family when she grew up. It seemed appropriate that they would make it the destination for their wedding because of their connection to the area and family, as well as the awesome weather during December. The Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort was part of those vacations, and became the site of the intimate celebration of their commitment to each other. It was quite the honor for us to be welcomed and added into their family. Congratulations, Tamara+Kyle!

What happens when you meet the bride and groom only two days before their destination wedding in Phoenix? What happens when you spend that visit laughing and carrying on while planning the timeline? You schedule an engagement session the morning of the wedding to get more time together, more laughing, and to build trust for the rest of the day. We got to do that with Tamara+Kyle. What an amazing couple! We had such a great time becoming fast friends and serving them on their big day. These images are from their day-of engagement session at Papago Park.

When I first met Mary & Mark at an open house at The Secret Garden, what made them so memorable was the proposal. We got to visit together and learn more about their story and share ours, and it was a good fit. We did Mary & Mark’s engagement session at Alcantara Vineyards in Cottonwood. Such fun walking around the property, chatting, laughing, getting their love and emotion in their poses. Such a beautiful day. Another beautiful day, we got to be a part of their wedding. From the Arizona Grand where they got ready, to Brophy Chapel where they had their ceremony, and finally to The Secret Garden where they partied the night away in celebration of their marriage, we had the honor to be there and capture it in photo and video. Violet & JD are a great couple. We had the honor of doing Violet’s senior portraits a few years ago, and now we get to continue being a part of her story as she is in college and finding a great guy in JD while attending Northern Arizona University (NAU). We had a great time getting to know JD and the two of them as a couple during this shoot and by sharing dinner afterward. Many blessings to them!

Mark proposed to Paula in Nebraska on an annual family trip to visit Paula’s grandparents who live there. Paula invited Mark to come because it is a very special place for her, and Mark wanted to make it as special as possible with family in focus. Their commitment to each other and family is inspiring. You can see their love for each other in the way they look at one another in their portraits we captured at the Desert Botanical Garden. oak creek engagement photographers | jamie+ian

Jamie and Ian are one dang fun couple! Their wedding in Dec 2016 will be Harry Potter themed and we will be wearing our house colors. Amy is especially excited to do this wedding as Jamie and Ian are both great people, and she is extra thrilled to have the opportunity to wear her Slytherin green and black. This engagement session was a blast! We walked around the West Fork Trail in Oak Creek Canyon, north of Sedona, enjoyed the colors of fall, and capturing the emotion of Jamie and Ian’s love…and their quirkiness!

I’ve known Shane since he was in 7th grade. I had the honor to be his discipleship group leader at church from then until he entered college. From watching this young man grow, mature, desire to honor the Lord and others, to him now getting married to the wonderful Meg: it has all been a pleasure. This was a true honor. With our full-day coverage, we were able to be there for all of those special moments throughout their day. We helped them plan the flow of their day ahead of time, and then helped to keep the flow going and their day as stress-free as possible. The first look was incredible: when Shane teared up as Meg tapped him on the shoulder and they got to see each other for the first time on their wedding day, I was deeply moved and very proud.

Bry & Zach got to know each other because Bry was friends with Zach’s sister. Zach was the first to take Bry out on a real date. They went to the Rain Forest Café, then to see the Muppets in theatre, and he gave her a large panda. One day, up near Potato Lake (past Strawberry), Bry & Zach were camping. After she cleaned up the camp area, Zach suggested they take a photo in front of the pop-up trailer. She thought he had set the camera on a timer so that he could get in the picture, too, but instead he had turned on the video function. To her surprise, he got down on his knee and proposed to her. The diamond in the ring was Zach’s great great aunt’s. It was a pleasure serving Bry & Zach.

My family has personally known this beautiful family since before John (the husband/father) or I were born.  Our parents have been good friends for decades, and the tradition of this bond continues in our generation, and I pray that it may continue into the next.  Carla makes an incredibly beautiful mommy-to-be!  I was so blessed to spend a couple hours with them just before Thanksgiving.  We have much to be thankful for.

scottsdale wedding photographers | rossa+rami

This beautiful couple met through a mutual friend in Louisiana where Rami was in his residency and Rossa in doctoral study.  They hit it off and visited a Syrian festival in Houston together.  Their love was providentially brought together and they continued their engagement even while many states away as Rami moved here to Phoenix and Rossa did her residency in Nebraska.  Their wedding day came, and what a day it was!  From Rami getting ready at his house in Glendale, Rossa getting ready at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale, their ceremony being held at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, more pictures and video done back at the Hyatt, and their reception at Gainey Ranch Golf Club, it was a very full day for this great couple.  It was also the first day of the Monsoon season in Arizona, and the first big dust wall, also known as a Haboob, came through just before their reception at Gainey Ranch Golf Club.  Rossa braved a good bit of wind in order for us to get some great photos and video of the two of them near sunset out on the golf course at Gainey.  Oh, my, do their family and friends know how to party! From more traditional dances from Syria, dabke, where all the family and friends danced as a group, to American party anthems: they danced all night long!  They even finished the evening with a very talented friend who brought his keyboard/synth and played Syrian-style songs to which many guests danced and sang.  They are definitely worth celebrating!
